A research record, like a note card, records an observation and maybe an interpretation. Be sure to include a link to what you found so your steps can be retraced by others.

Researchers:

URL: http://infoworks.ride.uri.edu/2007/state/pov-high.pdf

Describe what you saw:

The table shows the percent of students reporting that they feel that they can talk to a teacher or other staff member about;
-Personal or family problems most of the time or always.
-Academic issues most of the time or always.

This table also shows the percentage of students who reported;
-They were robbed one or more times in school.
-Not getting along with teachers is a moderate to very big hassle.
-Being teased or bothered by other students is a moderate to very big hassle.
-Someone tried to sell them drugs one or more times in school.

Why might this be useful for us?

It might be useful for us because it shows us how the students feel in their schools.

An example sentence would be "Regarding the safety of "_", the majority of responses from the students felt that this school is safe/unsafe..."

What might an example sentence using this data in your report look like?- fogleman fogleman

Other Notes: The graphs shown "only" present the percentage of students who feel they can talk to teachers about these subjects. The percentages could be higher if the number of students who reported their point of view from each school could be viewed
